About Cilento

Cilento, a picturesque region in southern Italy immediately adjacent to the Amalfi Coast, is nestled in the province of Salerno within the Campania region. It is renowned for its stunning natural landscapes, which include pristine beaches along the Tyrrhenian Sea, lush forests, and rolling hills.

The area is best known for the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which preserves an array of historical and cultural treasures such as ancient Greek temples at Paestum and the medieval town of Castellabate.

Most of all, Cilento is celebrated for its vibrant culinary traditions, notably its Mediterranean diet, which emphasizes fresh, local ingredients and has been recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage.

After a decade of hosting weeklong food and wine tours via Feast Travel, Cilento Food Tours was born to introduce more people to this hidden gem, which remains close to zones of mass tourism but, gratefully, just beyond its reach. Arianna, Danielle, Mario, and their friends and collaborators want more people to discover this very special corner of Italy, even if for only a day.
